Client reviews and stories

Read client reviews and extended stories from Datadriventools healthcare billing audit reviews in Hong Kong clinics and hospital units.

Short reviews

“They caught duplicated theatre charges we had missed for three months. The findings table alone paid for the engagement.”

— Mei Ling C., finance manager, private day surgery centre

“Turnaround was slower than I hoped in week two when files arrived late from our side, but the final pack was precise and usable.”

— Dr. Aaron T., clinic director, Kowloon outpatient group

“The correspondence readiness notes stopped us attaching the wrong operative summary to two insurer replies. That alone was worth the fee.”

— S. Kwok, billing supervisor, multi-specialty clinic

“I wanted more time spent on physiotherapy packages; the sample leaned toward procedures. Still, the integrity findings were clear and fair.”

— Rachel F., operations lead, rehabilitation day centre

Extended story: day surgery charge capture

A Kwun Tong day surgery centre asked for a full-cycle healthcare billing audit after three consecutive months of rising write-offs on orthopaedic lists. We sampled 160 episodes spanning theatre time, implants, and recovery bay charges.

The review found two recurring patterns: recovery bay minutes billed against an outdated fee row, and implant invoices posted twice when suppliers re-sent packing slips. Neither issue appeared in the centre’s internal dashboard summaries because write-offs were coded as “insurer variance.”

The findings register listed 41 actionable lines. Within six weeks the centre’s billing clerk implemented the checklist; write-offs on the same lists fell in the following quarter according to their own finance report shared with us for follow-up.

Extended story: insurer query cluster

An Island outpatient group received a cluster of insurer queries on ultrasound add-ons. They booked a correspondence readiness review rather than a full audit. We examined three threads, flagged missing signed consent scans on two, and reordered the reply narrative so the clinical indication appeared before the fee defence. The group sent its own letters; two of the three queries closed without further escalation.
